Description
Accolay is a village where a large community of ceramists settled, active from 1945 to 1983. Their production is distinguished by high quality and technical inventiveness. The adventure began with the creation of ceramic jewelry, buttons and accessories that seduced the couturier Christian Dior for one of his collections. It was a success. They produce more than 900 models. Including wire figures, vases with ethnic decoration, ceramic masks, and blue ‘Gitanes’ vases, like the model above. A very decorative choice and a beautiful quality of manufacture in this nuanced blue vase with ridged decoration.
