Borge Mogensen chest of drawers “China”
Description
This beautiful model 234 with 8 drawers from the “China” series by Borge Mogensen is in very good original condition. With its legs inspired by Chinese furniture, its thin handles made of original brass and the beautiful contrasting grain of the teak, give it its modern charm and the clean, functional aesthetic for which Mogensen was known.
Among his most notable projects is his wide variety of storage systems and shelves. In 1950 he won the Eckersberg Medal, the annual prize of the Copenhagen Carpentry Guild in 1953, and the C.F. Hansen Medal in 1972.
