Beautiful and rare height adjustable floor lamp designed by Hans Bergström. Beautiful patina and assemblage of materials with an original cone-shaped lampshade in hand-sewn folded white fabric and polished solid brass structure. Excellent vintage condition. Bergström is an iconic figure in Swedish architecture and design. In 1934, together with his wife, he founded the company ateljé Lyktan. His motto was “Light must be white and shine freely.” Through his pioneering work, Bergström established himself as a leading figure in the field of modern Swedish lighting, fundamentally transforming the perception and application of electric lighting in the decades to come.
