Elegant sideboard produced by Svend Langkilde for his successful 1953 company Langkilde Funiture. Its very high quality finish and refined details such as its beautiful veining and interior drawers, give it a delicacy of execution.
Langkilde’s style is characterized by simple and elegant shapes, combined with an attention to detail and functionality. The designer has won numerous awards and accolades for his work, such as the Gold Medal at the Milan Triennale in 1957 and the Danish Industrial Design Award in 1962. His creations have been exhibited in museums around the world, including the MoMA in New York.
