Vice Versa floor lamp by Carl Auböck
Description
The Vice Versa floor lamp by Carl Auböck represents a unique fusion of craftsmanship and modernity.
Its metal and cast iron construction gives it a sobriety just marked by the play of inverted cones between the lampshade support and the base.
His main fantasy lies in the reversibility of the lampshade which, by swapping, allows the light to be directed upwards or downwards and to change the aesthetics of the floor lamp.
The simplicity of the lines and the excellent quality of the materials testify to Auböck’s refined craftsmanship.
Founded in 1906, the Werkstätte Carl Auböck was a family business that saw 4 generations of architect-industrialists named Carl Auböck who exemplified the innovation and creativity of Viennese design.
