Description
The “Capella” sofa designed by Danish designer Illum Wikkelsø stands out for its solid rosewood structure. High quality workmanship and assembly and perfect proportions and identifiable attention to detail. The simple lines highlight the warmth and richness of the wood grain. It also adds a lot of elegance to it.
Wikkelso first worked for Danish cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær and architects Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard until he opened his own studio in 1954. Its design combines aesthetics, simplicity and functionality and is considered a classic of Danish modernism.
