Description

Tuareg calabash from Niger. Very beautiful turned and carved wooden bowl of African origin, second half of the 20th century. An ethnic and refined style.
Unique piece of African handicrafts, H18 x D30 cm.

This nomadic object has been diverted from its original use. It is a genuine old one-of-a-kind piece with undeniable authentic charm. The signs of wear, scars and repairs testify to the rich life of these everyday objects and cannot be considered as defects.
Traces of a turbulent life can be observed. After having played its role as a container for a few decades, this object will be able to fit into your interior as a singular fruit bowl, trinket tray (or simply as an ethnic-chic decorative object).
