Nils Kähler was the fourth generation of the well-known Herman A. Kähler family ceramics company. He and his brother Herman Jørgen Kähler, who were in charge of the Kähler ceramics workshop from 1940, brought the artistic expressions of ceramic production into the mid-century period. Nils created many pieces for the company, including vases, dishes, and sculptures. His creations quickly gained a great reputation for their elegance and quality.
This partially glazed stoneware vase with incised pattern on the body and shiny turquoise glaze from the 50s and 60s, is representative of the artist’s style. In perfect condition, the glazing is very remarkable. Incised with the initials HAK under the base.
